Standard Places in Town

Assayer Office:
Bank: most places have a couple of guards to keep the money in the vault in addition to the bankers that work there.
Barber: Most places offer a shave and a hair cut for two bits (that 25 cents).
Blacksmith: the place to go if you need new horseshoes or other items made of metal created.
Brothel: more often called ‘dance halls’ to lend some amount of decency, in many mining and cow towns the title is dropped. Either way a great place for a cowpoke to spend a month’s pay in a weekend.
Church: usually protestant although the occasional Catholic church can be found.
Clothier/Tailor: These places usually have some clothes that can bought, “off the rack” to be custom tailored. Most places will sew up completely new clothes if the price is right as well.
Cobbler: Sometimes combined with the Clothier or even the general store, these places sell boots and shoes. Most places can modify or make footwear as well.
Doctor: Most places have a hard time getting a good sawbones. Most towns the doctor is also the dentist as well.
Exporter/importer: They ship in larger items like furniture or large amounts of items.
Gambling Hall: These saloons specialize in gambling and often have men and women who work as professional gamblers who take a percentage of the house’s earnings.
